Community Outreach

Outreach is an activity of providing services to populations who might not otherwise have access to those services. A key component of outreach is that the groups providing it are not stationary, but mobile; in other words they are meeting those in need of outreach services at the locations where those in need are. In addition to delivering services, outreach has an educational role, raising the awareness of existing services.

Goals and Objectives:

The goal of the community outreach committee is to create and expand the profile of coaching in the community. Through connections within the community, we:

  • Educate the general public about coaching to raise awareness and promote the value of coaching.
  • Develop pro-bono coaching opportunities for the community to experience the proven personal and professional benefits of coaching.
  • Provide coaching to communities that don't have access to, or may be unaware of support of this nature.
  • Identify potential community service projects and establish relationships with the community service organizations.
  • Coordinate and support chapter activities for the annual ICF Coach Week.
