    Join the ICF Toronto Programming Planning Committee!

    The Programming Planning Committee is a unique opportunity to work with world-class speakers in the context of supporting coach-specific professional development. The Planning Committee partners with the Co-Directors of Programming to plan and execute professional development events (live and virtual) that meet the needs of our Toronto members. If you feel passionate about coaching, serving, and networking, this is an opportunity you can’t miss!

    Key Responsibilities
    Co-lead the Programming portfolio with two Co-directors through:

    • planning overall programming for ICF Toronto chapter on topics that meet the needs of our members
    • locating and reviewing speaker proposals and selecting qualified professional presenters
    • ensuring in-person meeting logistics (space, food, room set up) are professionally and successfully executed
    • participating in program meetings (intro speakers, engage with members)
    • collaborating with other portfolio Directors (e.g., DEI, Marketing & Communications) to support marketing processes
    • participating in monthly Board portfolio meetings

    Estimated time investment:
    Up to 3 to 4 hours per week during special events (conferences, awards events, ICW, etc.), and on average, 1 hour per week.

    ICF Toronto is one of the largest chapters in ICF Global. We are growing, with over 1200 members and over 2000 members and guests. ICF Toronto is an award-winning chapter, receiving the Global Chapter Excellence Award several times, including in 2021 for innovation.

    Call for Judges for ICF Toronto's Annual Awards Program 2023-2024

    We are looking for volunteers to join the ICF Toronto Chapter Awards Judging Panel for 2023/24.

    These candidates are passionate about coaching excellence and can draw on lived and professional experiences. We welcome applicants with diverse backgrounds across sectors, coaching modalities, leadership positions, and learning and development specialties. The Judging Panel, consisting of four judges and a lead judge, is responsible for selecting our ICF Toronto Award winners.

    Director of Marketing & Communications Co-Lead

    Position Description:

    The Director of Marketing and Communications is a co-leadership role within ICF Toronto Board of Directors, responsible for driving the Chapter's marketing and communications efforts. This co-lead position is pivotal in shaping the Chapter's image and community engagement. As a working Board of Directors member, this role collaborates across portfolios to develop and execute marketing strategies, enhance the association's brand, and facilitate effective communication with members, stakeholders, and the wider coaching community. The Director of Marketing and Communications significantly influences community loyalty and engagement by fostering a sense of belonging and dedication among members and stakeholders. This, in turn, strengthens community loyalty.

    Functional Responsibilities:

    Working together with the co-director of Marketing and Communications:

    • Leads and executes the marketing and communications objectives of ICF Toronto, in collaboration with other Board members
    • Co-leads the Marketing and Communications committee
    • Maintains and executes the marketing and communications plan including strategies and guidelines around communications, advertising, media and public relations, brand, digital and budget
    • Provides branding and editing support on external communications such as newsletter, ad hoc notices, campaigns, publications and articles, both online and in print
    • Leads the marketing and communications strategy of campaigns and events such as the annual conference, PRISM awards, international coaching week and other key initiatives
    • Leads content strategy, audience engagement and posting for the website and social media

    We are looking for a volunteer with the following experience/competencies:

    • An ICF Toronto Chapter member in good standing
    • A passion for Marketing and Communications
    • Lived volunteering experience
    • Team leadership
    • Understanding of marketing and communications in non-profit organizations
    • Experience in community outreach and member engagement
    • Strategic mindset and experience in developing and implementing strategy
    • Strong communication skills and collaboration skills
    • ICF Certified Coach is considered an asset
    • Experience with anti-racism and Equity, Diversity and Inclusion is considered an asset

    Director of Volunteer Engagement

    Position Description:

    To create a thriving, sustainable ICF Toronto chapter, requires a robust volunteer network. Volunteers and volunteer committees, working with the Board of Directors, will help build our capacity, create sustainability for Board succession planning and help create value for our members. A dedicated Director of Volunteer Engagement position is required to increase focus and strategically enhance recruitment and retention while providing ongoing, caring support for our volunteer network.

    Director of Volunteer Engagement will partner with the ICF Toronto Chapter Board of Directors members to promote the meaning, the spirit and the benefits of volunteer participation in the chapter’s life amongst chapter’s members. And this is a co-lead position with a Director of Membership, working collaboratively to support the volunteer experience.

    Functional Responsibilities:

    Working together with the co-director of Marketing and Communications:

    • Research, design and collaboratively implement Volunteer programs that create a culture of support, altruism and kindness within the Chapter’s members and the community as a whole and advise the Board on the advancement of Volunteering goals.
    • Actively participate in the work of the Board of Directors and demonstrate open-mindedness, curiosity, kindness and respect towards fellow Board members.
    • Serve as the leader and point person for integrated volunteering efforts across the chapter.
    • Create and lead volunteering committee.
    • Act as an advisor to other portfolio Directors on volunteering strategies and implementation within their specific portfolios.
    • Review current processes, policies and procedures to ensure alignment with Toronto Chapter’s EDI commitment.
    • Research, develop and recommend creative strategies to meet volunteering goals.
    • Assist with the implementation of strategies to attract under-represented groups in the ICF Toronto membership and volunteering initiatives.
    • Stay on top of volunteering trends and best practices.
    • Collaborate with ICF Global Volunteering program to ensure consistency and alignment, as required.
    • Develop a consistent and comprehensive communication strategy/plan and collaborate with marketing for implementation.
