ICF Toronto now offers monthly meetings, coaching cafes, webinars and a 1 day conference. 

Monthly Meetings

We meet the third Wednesday of each month, except for July and August and December.  You are welcome to register to join us at our upcoming meeting.

Coaches Cafe

 ICF Members meet  informally in small group settings for networking, sharing and learning from colleagues.  Cafes are held regularly and most months  a cafe is held in Toronto, Hamilton or other surrounding areas.  Cafes are usually held in a coffee shop and are loosely facilitated.

Webinars

Webinars are held as required on topics of interest to a subset of members.  Past webinars for instance have focused on ICF Accreditation, and How to Write a Winning Prism Award nomination.   There are plans for more webinars in the future. 

Conference

World class speakers come to stage for engaging full day of interactive presentations and learning.  The March 2018 conference at Beanfield Centre was sold out with over 220 participants in attendance.

    Sue Sheldon is a compassionate and energetic coach, consultant and facilitator who thrives on championing people to be the best they can be. Her approach, developed over the last 20 years working with entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs, provokes them to become aware of and connect with their leadership style to humanize the workplace. Sue works in partnership with her clients to identify their values, connect with their purpose in life, design a plan that aligns with these discoveries and then get into action to create the results they want. 

    In this webinarThe ICF defines managing progress and accountability as holding attention on what is important for the client and to leave the responsibility with the client to take action. Sue will invite you to clarify your intention for this session, listen to a live demo with a participant (get ready to volunteer) and to debrief through the lens of your intention.     CELEBRATE • LEAD  DREAM 

    Launching our Year of Celebration

    Join ICF Toronto Chapter members and friends on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 starting at 5:30 pm for an evening of celebration, camaraderie and fun prior to the ELEVATE conference. Look back at coaching and ICF Toronto milestones, toast the 2019 PRISM Award winners and kick up your heels with local and out of town conference-goers and guests to celebration ICF Toronto's 20th anniversary.

    Nabil Doss, the French Voice of Paramount Pictures in Canada and an expert in influential communication, will emcee the evening and be on hand to post a few powerful questions of his own.

    The event will take place at The Spoke Club, in the heart of Toronto's vibrant King West Strip (600 King Street West at Portland). The TTC streetcar stops at Portland and parking is nearby.

    Registration fee includes drink tickets, generous hors d'oeuvres, a chance to win one of twenty fabulous prizes and a lot of time for socializing before and after the PRISM awards presentation which will take place at 7:30 pm.

Off the heels of a very successful and sold out 2018 Conference, we are pleased to once again offer an exciting lineup of speakers and programming that will elevate your learning and development.

    ELEVATE 2019 will provide plenty of networking opportunities with coaching community colleagues, friends and speakers as well as exhibitors. In addition, you will earn Continuing Coach Education Units for when you renew your ICF credentials. You’ll also have fun!

    Exciting Speakers

    Don’t miss the opportunity to hear world-renowned speaker and author Richard Boyatzis start the day with a keynote presentation. He will lead the audience through examples of what effective coaching feels like, as well as understanding the neural processes that foster or inhibit it.



    The afternoon will follow with Pam McLean, Ph.D., CEO of Hudson Institute of Coaching. Pam will share Reflective Practices to Strengthen Self Awareness and develop Self-as-Coach Capacity.



    The day will close with relieving work-related stress with humour from Judy Croon.

    Jim Gavin  has designed and delivered coach training programs for individuals and organizations since 1998. He has been a practicing psychologist since 1972, and over the past few decades has centered his practice in professional coaching. Presently, he is the director of the Centre for Human Relations and Community Studies and a full professor in the department of applied human sciences at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. He co-directs Concordia University’s ICF-ACTP coach certification program, as well as offering other coaching programs through Concordia’s John Molson Executive Centre. Jim has been designated a Diplomate in Counseling Psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology, the highest award for recognizing excellence in the practice of counseling psychology. He has published nine books and generated over 250 research papers and conference presentations. 

    In this webinarWe will play with our understanding of what presence is, how much we can reasonably expect of ourselves in a coaching session, what the internal feel of presence is like, what it looks like from the outside, and how we can embody it more of the time everywhere in our lives. And we will also navigate our way through what research tells us about coaching presence.
