"Exploring the Myths of How To Build A Thriving Coaching Practice"

Please join Anne Hurtubise, ACPC, and Adria Trowhill, MCC, while they tell their stories of how they each created a sustainable, profitable coaching practices.  You will hear about their initial expectations, their realities,  and what they learned along the way. They will share about some of their experiences together and also their ‘secrets of success’. This is your opportunity to ask all those questions that so far have been unanswered about what it really takes to build a thriving coaching practice in today’s economy.

About the Speakers:

Adria Trowhill is a Master Certified Coach who is a trailblazer in Canadian leadership and leadership team coaching. As a leader's coach and innovative creator of tools and processes for high performance senior teams, she has worked with senior executives, leadership teams and corporate coaches globally. Adria is committed to bringing outstanding results, openness to new ideas, strategic thinking, passion and spirit to the workplace.. Her background in organizational and clinical psychology combined with extensive experience addressing leadership, performance, organizational development and change issues, provides a comprehensive, in-depth platform for her coaching.

Adria has successfully coached leaders from supervisory to CEO levels in their efforts to make major and positive changes in their leadership. As role model for her clients and coaching students, Adria continuously ‘raises the bar’. She is known for her leading edge thinking, her passionate caring for the profession and her clients, and her highly intuitive and creative approach. She is committed to holding high standards for herself as well as her clients. Her papers have been accepted at International conferences, and most recently in the inaugural edition of the ‘Executive Coach’ magazine. Adria was a writer for the Canadian entrepreneurial magazine, Esteem, and is also an accomplished pianist.

Adria believes that leaders need to be given the time to reflect on who they are being in the world, what they are creating in their cultures, and the impact they are having. Coaching enables them to do this, and supports them in connecting with their essential selves, and aligning with their values in order to deliver outstanding results. “Out of this focus emerges high performance capacity, business growth, the maximization of human potential, as well as innovative approaches to resolving performance and business issues. What counts beyond technical skills is vision, the capacity to show up fully and fully utilize strengths, and the ability to compassionately connect with others at a truly authentic level."
Adria served as President of the Toronto International Coach Federation for 2.5 years, was Canadian leader for ICF for 2 years and past program director for ACTO, the Association for Coach Training Organizations Internationally.. She is a core faculty member at Adler International Learning  in Toronto and Phoenix, and was a key player  in the certification of the Adler coaching program.


Anne Hurtubise, president and founder of Emotional Intelligence Corporation (EIC), has more than 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur and has managed up to 25 employees. Her background in nutrition helps her coach executives to find more energy for the work they must do by making smarter food choices.
Anne is a certified Emotional Intelligence Instructor through Hay/McBer in Boston and the Emotional Intelligence Development Corporation in Montreal. She is a graduate of the Adler School of Professional Coaching, Organization and Relationship Systems Coaching of the Coach Training Institute in California, the Adler Workplace Coaching Program (train the trainer), and is certified in a Team Training Diagnostic Tool by Team Diagnostic International in California.  Additionally, she studied management and marketing at the University of Montreal and holds a degree in Information Technology.

As a bilingual coach (English and French), Anne coaches leadership development on an international level using emotional intelligence tools.  Her clients range from the CEO to manager level.

As a Professional Coach, with over 4000 hours of coaching, she is in the process of acquiring her Master Coach Certification through the International Coach Federation.

Anne was Vice President of the Ontario Chapter of the International Coach Federation from 2005- 2007.
