Director of Marketing & Communications - Board of Directors

Position Description:

  • Oversees internal communications systems and processes
  • Updates and implements a marketing and communication plan
  • Maintains social media, website, newsletter processes, etc.
  • Implements marketing and communications plans in collaboration with other Directors
  • Manages chapter public relations efforts
  • Manages chapter affinity programs for members
  • Manages advertising for chapter
  • Sources and purchases chapter "swag"
  • Maintains ICF brand as per standards
  • Develops annual marketing and communication strategy

Requirements for candidates:

  • Likes to network and build relationships
  • Very good written and oral communication skills
  • Lead a volunteer team
  • Previous marketing and communications work experience an asset
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Must be an ICF Toronto chapter member with a paid activity fee

Expected time investment:

  • Attend most Chapter meetings/events, (1.5 hrs/month)
  • Attend monthly Board meeting (excl. July & Aug.) via MS Teams (1.5 hrs/month)
  • Attend annual Board retreat/strategic planning sessions each year (3 per year, ½ day in person or virtual)
  • Work with volunteer team to deliver annual portfolio goals, (4-6 hours/month)
