Time: 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Place: Sierra Acres, Rockwood Ontario
Investment - $400.00. Includes: workbooks, refreshments, snacks and a light lunch.

Workshop materials based on: Rising Strong™ by Dr. Brené Brown PhD LMSW

What you will learn:

  • The critical role emotion plays in making any lasting behavioral change.
  • How offloading emotion, instead of integrating, moves us away from our deep desires and corrodes our relationships.
  • How accessing emotional risk-taking, in a safe environment, creates the birthplace of new beginnings.
  • The difference between striving for excellence and perfectionism, and how perfectionism gets in the way of emotional risk taking and the tough conversations we need to have to support our new normals.
  • Workable strategies for getting back up after a fall, or setback, so we can live with greater courage.
  • The correlation between our stories and the way we perceive our lives. The brain seeks to be "right" not "truthful".

This 4-week mindfulness series will introduce you to strategies to increase productivity and overall wellbeing. We will explore practical neuroscience and mindfulness tools that target social and emotional learning (SEL), including the five key elements: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making.

When mindfulness is applied to the most pressing issues in our relationships, communities, organizations, and the world, we learn to respond rather than react, we understand ourselves better and change from the inside out. With this deeper self awareness we are present to the signals that have us step back, pause, anchor and restore ourselves with kindess and compassion, for ourselves and others.

Join us in this interactive, experiential and transformative series – it all starts with self!
